Kristina Pappas, PhD

Clinical Neuropsychologist, Educational Consultant

Kristina Pappas, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in learning strategies and neuropsychological assessment. After completing a fellowship in neurodevelopmental assessment at Children’s Hospital in Massachusetts, Dr. Pappas worked in Connecticut for an educational consulting firm, Frankenberger Associates, administering neurocognitive assessments and facilitating school placements. She then worked on a multidisciplinary team at a nonprofit agency, the Mann Center for Early Education, and she coordinated services as a learning specialist at the Brentwood School, a private K—12 college preparatory school in Los Angeles, CA. Drawing upon more than 20 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Pappas specializes in conducting neuropsychological evaluations, coordinating services with schools, teachers, and allied professionals, and crafting thoughtful strategies to enrich learning. With an understanding that the brain forms new connections in response to learning and experience, Dr. Pappas empowers students and families to better understand their unique neurocognitive profile, cultivate self-confidence, and explore cognitive training which fosters growth and development.

The following journal article on NVLD illustrates her insight into neurocognitive variations/learning disabilities.
